Our Story

From a village in India,
to your table

A culinary journey rooted in nature

Veda began in a small village in India — a place where mornings start with spices being ground by hand, and evenings end with family gathered around a shared meal. The recipes we cook today were learned there, from grandmothers, aunts, and uncles, passed down without measurements — only feeling.

When we moved to Australia, we realised something was missing. The Indian food we found was beautiful, but it didn't fully reflect the food we grew up with back home. We wanted people here to experience the real essence — slow-cooked dals, freshly set paneer, dough rested overnight, and spices roasted fresh each day.

Food made the way it is meant to be made in India — with patience, care, and love.

So we opened Veda in Ashgrove.

Every plate that leaves our kitchen is an invitation:
Pull up a chair, stay a while, and eat the way we eat back home.
